Volunteering can make a real difference, carers who are supported by volunteers benefit from reduced social isolation, improved well-being and feel supported and involved. Volunteers also in a ‘get something back’, this might be the experience of developing skills and improving your CV , the social benefits of meeting new people, a sense of doing something worthwhile or the feel good factor of having done something for someone else.

We have a wide variety of volunteering roles, some roles are specifically skills-based and other roles are about using your life’s experiences and personality. Some roles require a commitment of a couple of hours a week whilst others can be more adhoc.

Volunteers receive:

  • Appropriate training & support
  • A clear written outline of the role and what is required
  • Expenses for agreed out of pocket costs e.g. travel
