12-18 June 2017
Care for the Carers is joining the national celebrations for Carers Week 2017 and will be highlighting the challenges carers face and the contribution they make to their families and communities throughout East Sussex.
The focus of this year’s Carers Week is Building Carer Friendly Communities – places where carers feel supported to look after their family or friends, and are recognised as individuals with needs of their own. An example of this is a GP practice offering appointment times that fit around someone’s caring responsibilities, or an employer that supports flexible working hours.
Nominate a Carer Friendly business
If you know a local business or service provider that’s helping to make a difference to carers’ lives, big or small, let us know. - Join the Carers’ Voices Network
- Help people you know to identify themselves as a carer
- Fundraise to support carers in East Sussex
