Alec Stephens from Eastbourne Lions Club presented a cheque for £576 to Care for the Carers, in order to help this young man to increase his independence and open up new avenues of opportunity with regards to education and employment.

The Young Adult Carer, who attends his local YAC group, turns 18 next month and has combated numerous challenges of his own while caring for his Mum for many years. His request had been turned down by larger organisations when Care for the Carers approached the Eastbourne Lions Club to see if they could help.

The Young Adult Carer is very grateful for the support he has received from both Eastbourne Lions Club and Care for the Carers, and is looking forward to hitting the road.
