Great start to Carers Week

Icon - Carers Week

Here at Care for the Carers, we’ve been really getting into Carers Week!  We’re wearing purple all this week to try to raise carer awareness at all of our events, and our #GoPurple campaign will run on throughout the year.

2015 Carers Week - CftC Go Purple

The team at Care for the Carers #GoPurple to raise awareness of carers at our events this week.

We’re running a number of information stands around the county, talking to the public about unpaid carers, helping to identify carers, and signposting them towards the support they need.

Some of our carers groups are having special events of their own this week – such as the Newhaven group, who have spent a relaxing afternoon having a cream tea together.  A big thank you to Paradise Park for all their wonderful hospitality.

There’s lots more still to come and you can find a list of all the events being run by Care for the Carers and our partner organisations across East Sussex at http://www.cftc.org.uk/carersweek
