We held our Spring Carers’ Forums in April and the theme this time was “East Sussex Better Together”. We had experts from the local clinical commissioning groups, who gave talks about the 150-week “Better Together” programme, followed by question and answer sessions, and round-table discussions where carers talked about their experiences of obtaining access to services.
There was also a ‘market place’ of local organisations who work with carers, with representatives on hand to meet and find out about their services.
The forums are free to carers, with a small charge of £5 for non-carer or cared-for attendees, and the feedback has been really good. We would encourage anyone who has not yet attended, or is curious about the events, to keep an eye out for our Autumn forum dates and come along.
