Care for the Carers were delighted to be a part of the ‘Help! I Need Somebody’ event held at the Winter Gardens on 4th February, organised by Eastbourne Advice Network and sponsored by McCrudden Training. Hosting 58 separate organisations, this occasion gave organisations an opportunity to promote their services and network. It was also a chance for locals to come along and find out what services are available at a ‘one stop shop’.
Janet Coles, Mayor of Eastbourne, introduced proceedings – acknowledging the benefits of such a day and highlighted her gratitude to those in attendance; especially those who were there in a voluntary capacity. Carole Gregory (Volunteer Coordinator) and Jessica Butler (Community Partnerships Worker) were the Care for the Carer representatives and had an enjoyable, productive day. They met many carers and professionals alike – some of whom have signed up to our Newsletter, so a big welcome to our new readers.
